Veronica Thomas is a Mathematician turned Educator who has obtained various certifications and who has the ability to teach all levels of Mathematics. Ms. Vee is a Florence, SC native who graduated from the IB program at Wilson High School [2005]. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics with minors in Physics & English from Francis Marion University [2009] and her teacher's certification via the American Board for Certification of Teacher Excellence [ABCTE]. Afterwards, she completed a Masters in Mathematics Education [5-12] from Western Governors University [2020]. She has started working on another advance degree. 

 

Vee Tee's hobbies include: solving puzzles, reading, singing, traveling, and encouraging others. During her fifteen years in education, she served successfully in many different capacities: Freshman Academy Coordinator, Varsity Cheer Squad coach, Mathematics Department Chairman, School-based Technology Coach, District STEAM Task Force member, Teacher Mentor, Lead Algebra I Teacher, HSTW TAV State Team member, Pee Dee Model STEM Teacher/Presenter, District Mathematics Curriculum Developer, and many other roles not listed.

Currently, Miss Thomas serves as the STEAM Early College Academy, Dual Enrollment, and FC  Programs Director for a SC High School. She is also an Adjunct Professor at a few local SC colleges. Vee Tee has a great love for mathematics, youth, and positive attitudes. Her educational philosophy is to do her BEST to bring out the BEST in others!
